Let's see... If they told me to write a book? Well I guess I'd write a book even if nobody told me to. I like to read, and I like to write, so writing a book would be pretty cool, to me anyway. But what would I write about, you ask? Well, let's see.
I have a story that I would like to write in it's entirety someday, but it's hard to get it all out on paper when it looks so perfect in your mind. Maybe one day I'll write it, but for now I'll just talk about it.
It starts out with a young girl whose mother is on a Yard Sale binge, they pick up a tarnished, full-length mirror and her mother puts it in the young girl's room. The girl befriends a young man who lives in the mirror, and he becomes her best friend. The girl is bullied in her first grade class, and the apparent 'imaginary friend', becomes extremely angry and defensive of her. From then on, it becomes a murder mystery, as the teacher is found dead in the classroom, and the only witness is the little girl. It would be told through the eyes of a Crime Scene Investigator, as the imaginary friend begins to cause more trouble, and slowly turn all the more cruel.
I don't always write scary stuff, but that's been a story I've had in my head for a long time, and I always liked the concept of people living inside a mirror, since that's what my imaginary friend did, he lived in the mirrors in my house.

thats a pretty gnarly idea, especially since the friend is in the mirror. Though you know it'd be cool if you told it from the mirror man's point of view, so then your like "Oh this thing is a mirror man he can't possibly be harming things" you know? I dont know, just a mere suggestion.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that book sounds so good. You should definitely write it! I want to read it! I don't think I could ever think of anything that creative. If I ever see a book on the shelves like that in the future I'll be sure to get it. :)
